Permanent exhibition
Museum Insel Hombroich

April–September, Mon–Sun, 10 am–7 pm
October–March, Mon–Sun, 10 am–5 pm
The collection of museum founder Karl-Heinrich Müller covers a remarkable spectrum. Its focus is on European modernism, archaeological artefacts from early to modern times, and East Asian art. The initially private collection was not created out of art-historical motivation or according to criteria of systematic completeness, but rather out of individual passion and an interest in seemingly divergent works. It can be viewed as a permanent installation in the buildings and grounds of the Museum Insel Hombroich, changing with the daylight and the seasons.

The exterior and interior spaces adjoin one another without any mediating thresholds. The immediate proximity of the works to the surrounding park and meadow landscape is a particular attraction.
