Only if a sense of and a will to donate arises can Hombroich become a model.

Karl-Heinrich-Müller-Stiftungsfonds

We cordially invite everyone who wishes to support Hombroich financially, be it with a one-off donation or in the longer term, to donate to the Karl-Heinrich-Müller-Stiftungsfonds.

This fund generates a separate endowment fund and interest accrued is invested solely into the work of the Foundation. The Fund was created by eight private individuals in 2010, and some of the resident artists at Hombroich, too, have opted to donate a per cent of their income to it on a permanent basis

Friends and Patrons

Since 1993 the Verein zur Förderung des Kunst- und Kulturraumes Hombroich e.V. accompanies the artistic program of the foundation Insel Hombroich. The members see themselves as a circle of friends, as a community of donors. They are united by their love for a unique place, about which the founder, Karl-Heinrich Müller, wrote that it should be “not a must, but a may”.

The association sets accents by organizing concerts in the Scheune of the Museum Insel Hombroich and in the event hall and the Haus für Musiker on the Raketenstation Hombroich nearby. These concerts also deliberately open up to new and newest music, resulting in exciting encounters with works that are difficult to install in normal concert venues. In addition, the association supports events on contemporary literature, poetry and philosophy as well as individual projects for specific occasions.

Every two years, the society organises the Inselfestival with a top-class international cast. This festival enables its visitors to experience the cultural area of Hombroich anew again and again, as a dialogue of music with architecture and nature is consciously strived for. Among the musicians and ensembles who gave guest performances at Hombroich at the invitation of the Friends of Hombroich are Benjamin Appl, Nicolas Altstaedt, Avi Avital, Guy Braunstein, Barnabás Kelemen, Alexander Lonquich and Joseph Moog, Julien Prégardien, Carolin Widmann, Asasello Quartet, Bennewitz Quartet, ensemble recherche, Jerusalem Quartet, Minguet Quartet, Quatuor Modigliani, Novus String Quartet, Quator Ébène, Quator Hermès.

Would you like to become a member? We look forward to welcoming you to our circle of supporters! “Island friends” have free admission to the Museum Insel Hombroich, to the exhibitions at the Raketenstation Hombroich, to the Langen Foundation and to the sculpture hall of Thomas Schütte.
Further information can be found on the Förderverein website and on Facebook.

Hombroich : Freiwillig
