Resonanzen der Zeit: Konzert der Kinder Insel Hombroich

This concert on April 18, 2026, at 11 am will feature piano trios by Johannes Brahms (1833–1897) and Dmitri Shostakovich (1906–1975). The works open up two different musical worlds: Brahms’ warm, romantic sound language and Shostakovich’s powerful, expressive intensity.
Tatia Abashishvili, piano, Ana Beriashvili, Violin, Revaz Khaindrava, Violoncello
Music carries memories of other times—it tells stories of past experiences. The distant past echoes in melodies that resonate into the present. Feelings from earlier times interweave with the sound of the moment to create resonances of time. The interplay of piano, violin, and cello creates a variety of moods, contrasts, and timbres that bring the special depth and excitement of chamber music to life.
Admission is free for all children and for all members of the Verein zur Förderung der Kinder Insel Hombroich (Association for the Promotion of Kinder Insel Hombroich). We ask adult guests to make a voluntary donation of €8 per person. We ask adult guests to come accompanied by children if possible. We ask younger guests to sit with their parents and to help their parents ensure that they do not distract them from the concert.
