Public Guided Tours

Public guided artists tours of Hombroich take place at weekends, sometimes with a thematic focus. Themes and dates can be found in the >Online-Shop<. Tickets can be booked in advance here or purchased on site. The number of participants is limited.
The artists Mechthild Hagemann, Doris Helbling, Hans-Willi Notthoff and Jens Stittgen have accompanied Hombroich since its beginnings. At that time they were students at the Düsseldorf Kunstakademie, among others with Gotthard Graubner, today they reflect on Hombroich in the guided tours based on their individual artistic work.
On a guided walk through the Museum Insel Hombroich, visitors learn background information about the collector and founder Karl-Heinrich Müller, the idea of “art parallel to nature” and the artists who played a decisive role in shaping Hombroich: Gotthard Graubner, Erwin Heerich and Anatol Herzfeld.
