Hombroich Summer Summit: Deep Listening Session

Kaity Fox, a sound artist of Australian origin based in Düsseldorf, is leading an English-language workshop as part of her artistic practice that introduces participants to the modalities and pedagogy of Deep Listening. The workshop takes place in and around the Haus für Musiker as well as on the grounds of the Raketenstation Hombroich.
Deep Listening, developed by the avant-garde composer Pauline Oliveros, conceives of listening as an expanded form of attention. Through group exercises, participants explore different modalities of listening and its potential as both an artistic and everyday practice.
Kaity Fox is a Certified Deep Listening Practitioner at the Center for Deep Listening. Her practice spans sound, music, and performance, with listening as its central starting point. Fox will be a guest at the Raketenstation in July 2026 as part of the Hombroich Summer Summit 2026 program.
The workshop is free of charge, but space is limited, so please arrive early. Registration is not available.
